Architectural metalwork and ironworks, Apopka, Florida

Metalwork made for the building it stands in.

Randall Architectural Ironworks fabricates and installs metal structures, railings, fences and decorative metal elements. The piece agreed on paper is the piece we set in place on site.

Metal that carries weight, and metal that carries character.

We work across the structural and the ornamental. Components are fabricated to the agreed design, then installed on site by the same company, so responsibility for the result does not change hands halfway through.

  • Metal structures

Frameworks and supporting structures in metal, fabricated to the project drawings and installed as a working part of the building.

  • Railings

Railings for stairs, balconies, terraces and landings: the metal people hold every day, built to feel solid and read as a clean line.

  • Fences

Metal fencing that defines the edge of a property, matched to the proportions of the site and set straight along its run.

  • Decorative metal elements

Ornamental panels, scrollwork, screens and accents: the details that give a façade, an entrance or an interior its own character.

From the first measurement to the last anchor.

Ironwork has to fit a place that already exists. That is why each project moves through the same four stages, in this order.

  1. Site and brief

We look at the place first: measurements, existing conditions, and what the metal has to do, whether that is carry a load, guard an edge, mark a boundary or finish a façade.

  2. Drawings

Dimensions, profiles and connections are set down and agreed before any material is cut, so everyone approves the same design.

  3. Fabrication

Components are cut, formed, joined and finished to the agreed drawings, each piece made for its position in the assembly.

  4. Installation

The work comes to site and is anchored, aligned and adjusted until the structure, railing or fence sits true.
